Alexander O’Neal going to get Fuzzed Up!

Subset support Alexander O'Neal at Dunstable RocksHey there SUBSETTERs!

I’ve been tasered in to action by my keepers just because I’ve not written to you in a while.

The reason for my absence is that I am planning a series of ‘how tos’ that are aimed at helping musicians get the most out of what they do and, hopefully, to bypass the pitfalls that most of us have at one time or another fallen in to.

So, what have I to report then? Well, as the headline gives away – SUBSET are supporting Alexander O’Neal!

Yeah, that’s what all of us a SUBSET HQ thought!

For those of you that aren’t aware of Mr O ‘Neal’s history – he’s one of the biggest soul acts of the late 1980′s and was signed by Prince as well as spending time in a band with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis! He released “Hearsay” in 1987 that went gold and stayed in the UK charts for a solid 2 years. His success lasted longer here in the UK but still, Alexander O’Neal became a trademark for the finest US R&B – not exactly a close match for SUBSET but hey, it’s still a landmark show.

As well as Alexander O’Neal, SUBSET will be sharing the Dunstable Rocks line-up with ex-Brother Beyond member Nathan Moore and Back to Black which is pitched as the UK’s best Amy Whitehouse tributes.

Also on the bill are Adam Barker, Rhetoric, CC Smugglers, Gin House Delta and Leech.

The following week SUBSET are joining forces with the Luton-area’s best Punk groups for an evening of Punk and Fuzz named: Anarchy Madness!

SUBSET will be getting The Castle in Luton messy with !Hazard!, Right of Rebellion and UK Vomit – it’s free to enter and promises to be the start of something huge!
