Hello SUBSETTERS!
The lads are getting ready to ramp up the road-trippin’!
Last weekend saw the fuzzy foursome play a pair of festivals (Luton Aid 7 for Keech Hospice and The Hoops Inn Festival partnered by The Henry Moore Foundation). This coming week or so they have a stack more gigs which will get the fuzztastic four hitting the road.
Before we go any further, with all of these gigs coming up and none getting cancelled, you may have already worked out that the lads have found someone to step in to pound the skins!
Dan Hale has offered his services to cover the vacant position until someone more permanent presents themselves. Dan was thrown in at the deep end as he was on the Luton Aid 7 stage a mere 2 days after being recruited and then was put through the ringer again on the Sunday.
Luton Aid 7 was a success for all involved and Dan powered through his first ever SUBSET show. The Hoops Inn Festival was a lovely jaunt into the Hertfordshire countryside where fields and thatched cottages were in abundance – unfortunately the wasps were out in force too! Any new moves created by the band on stage were unintentional as they were more concerned with avoiding the stripy agro insects!
There’s more fun ahead for SUBSET starting this Wednesday:
August 24th has the guys opening a night of rock for Italian headliners The Sexual Disorders at The Standard in Jay’s neck-of-the-woods – Walthamstow.
Friday August 26th sees SUBSET returning to the famous Monto Water Rats – for some reason this place keeps asking them to come back.
Sunday August 28th is a roadtrip up to the Midlands and The Pulse Festival held at Coven Heath’s Four Ashes.
As it’s a Bank Holiday the lads have taken up the offer to rock the Peterborough Beer & Music Festival on Monday 29th August.
Never shy of beer the crazy quartet head down to Kent for the Beer & Music Festival at The Oak and Ivy on September 3rd.
Up to press the guys have the following week off to catch their breath, mildly detox before getting back on stage at The Grove Festival in Dunstable on September 17th.
The details of these and all of the other gigs booked can be found at SubsetBand.com/Gigs.
