We hope that you’ve all made good use of the glorious weather this weekend. We managed to get a few hours drinking outside before hiding away in a studio to record some new ideas.
Hopefully the weather will continue to behave itself as we have not one, not two – but three shows for you this week!
The weekend will kick off on Thursday when we hit the i-Bar in Whetstone. This place has a decent stage, a great PA and great soundguys so we should sound even better than usual
The next day, the one everyone works towards: Friday – we’re on stage at the Nag’s Head in High Wycombe. This a new one for us but it has some great history. This place has seen everyone from John Lee Hooker and Howlin Wolf to The Who and The Sex Pistols play on their stage. If you can make it we’d love to see some familiar faces
Finally we’re with the MMG Hi-Jack team at The Peacock in St. Albans. It’s free to get in, it’s a Saturday and there’s The Aribitors and Friends of the Family joining us on the line up. To us this sounds like a recipe for a decent Saturday evening
Here’s how to get there and stuff

The guys are really excited about getting that Friday feeling this week.
Not only are they going to be playing at The Horn again for a cider sponsored showcase but before they soundcheck they’ll be over at Radio Verulam being interviewed by Chris Saunders for his live alternative slot (6:30-7pm).
Fri 12th Feb GAYMER’S FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE 8pm-2am £5
Gaymers proudly presents its Second ‘Friday Night Live’ at The Horn. Gaymers are dedicated to helping new artists fulfil their potential. Tonight they showcase the best Rock bands from the Saint Albans area.
Freerun: With a semi final slot in the 2012 Olympic Talent Serch and a tour including playing at the 02 arena to over 5,000 people this is not to be missed. An amazing band with a new linie up sounding as fresh as all the indie bands out there.
Brigante: Briganté aren’t trying to be anything other then what they are… Indie rock and roll with lashings of funk rock combined to make music that oozes confidence, self-control and energy that would make even the most hardened music critic sit up.
Subset: Their live act has been described by BBC Introducing as “delivering what a band with such a notorious stage attitude should do” and as “tearing the stage apart” by the Majick Music Group.
REV 78: Rev78’s music is a collision between dark, clashing soundscapes, and bright, catchy melodies which seep like honey through a toxic sea. Think The Killers playing hooky three-minute versions of Godspeed You Black Emperor tracks and you’re halfway there; somewhere in that swirling maelstrom is the chemistry needed for rock ‘n roll greatness.
